2010 Workshops

 

· To assure the proper space is available for our work shops, we are requesting that delegates pre-register for the classes they will be attending by June 15.

· Workshop Books will be available Monday July 20, 2009 in the Convention Registration area at a cost of $10.00 each.

Tuesday-Thursday 9:00-10:50AM

 

Deacon’s Workshops

· D1: Workshop designed to strengthen Deacons who have been serving for 20 years or more. Deacon James Gardner, Instructor

· D2: Workshop designed to strengthen Deacons who have been serving for less than 20 years. Deacon John Lovett, Instructor

 

Deaconess’s Workshop

· DN 1: Workshop designed to strengthen Deaconesses who have been serving for 20 years or more. Deaconess Jean Johnson, Instructor

· DN 2: Workshop designed to strengthen Deaconesses who have been serving for less than 20 years . Deaconess Clarice Thompson, Instructor

 

Minister’s Class

· M: Class designed as a format to enhance the relationship of shared responsibilities between Pastors, Ministers and Deacons. Rev Jeremiah Witherspoon , Instructor

 

Calling a Pastor Class

· CP: Class designed to offer aid in the process of selecting a Pastor.                     Deacon Ernest Wormley Instructor

 

Field Workers Class

· FW: Class designed to develop strategies to strengthen our Deacon, Deaconess organizations at all levels with special emphasis given at the national level.                       Deacon Winston Mack, Instructor

 

A Workshop Book is required for all of the above Classes.

 

Bible Studies

Tuesday-Friday 8:00-8:50AM

 

· BC1: The study of God’s word. Deacon Stanly Carr, Instructor

· BC2: The study of God’s word. Deaconess Myrna Powell, Instructor

Please keep the family of Deacon William O Thompson in prayer. Deacon Thompson passed away on Thursday August 27, 2009. Deacon Thompson was President of the Pennsylvania State Delegation. Deacon Thompson was a member of The Second Baptist Church as well as a member of the National Baptist Deacons Convention of America Inc. The funeral service will be Friday, September 4, 2009 at The Second Baptist Church, where Rev Warren B Maze is the Pastor, located at :

Deacon Thompson leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Sister Minnie Thompson and a host of relatives and friends including The National Baptist Deacons Convention of America. Deacon Thompson will missed by all who knew him.
